Challenge: Communicate the theme of the convention: solidarity.

Solution: The design creates a feel of a patch work quilt, and reinforcing the idea of coming together, supporting each other to create a greater thing. The images incorporated into the union quilt are of actual workers, strong action photos from rallies, the american flag and the canadian flag. Overall, it represent the entire union with all its branches.

The center piece of the design is the union logo and theme, together with a large photo collage of water drop. The drop's little circle expand outwards with the union name getting larger and larger, as a metaphor for the union getting bigger and stronger.
